Describe the author's interpretation of Genius and how it differs from conventional definitions of Genius. What are the shared strategies of geniuses? How does your Genius Hour project encourage you to use some of these strategies? The author's definition of a genius differs from the conventional definitions by creativity. The author says that a genius doesn't need to get a perfect ACT score to be considered a genius they just need to be able to think. They need to be able to come up with ideas and be able to apply these ideas to something of use. You don't have to be conventionally "smart" to be a genius. To be a genius you have to be a thinker, you have to access your creative side to spur an idea, then you must apply the idea, the ability to do both defines a genius. Genius hour encourages this because genius hour is nothing but creativity. You come up with your own topic and your own plan to fix the problem you observed. Everything is about what you came up with in your own mind.
